First Grade Teacher
February 18th, 2010 . by adminAs a long time first grade teacher, I had spent many long and tedious hours trying to teach some of the youngsters how to read. Some were diagnosed as having dyslexia or some other reading disorder, but I never gave up trying. Our elementary school librarian contacted me when she received several phonics programs in the new library shipment. I checked them out immediately and started using them in class. I was very impressed with the programs, and by the end of the school year, all my students were up to the proper reading level. I wish these programs had been around 30 years ago when I started teaching.
