Once I was waiting at my dentist to have a couple of root canals. Usually I don’t like having root canals but they were on special for the holidays. I guess my dentist was trying to drum up extra money for his golf membership. But there was this interesting show on TV, called “magic tricks revealed.” The guy was showing people how all the most famous tricks from all time were performed, including how Houdini stayed alive under that river for such a long time. I was so mesmerized that I almost forgot about my root canal. Of course the smiling doctor and his drill kept me awake the rest of the afternoon.
